Before Your Event
Come meet us! We want to sit down with you and your family to hear about the plans for your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah. What is the theme or style for the reception? Will there be lots of friends, do you have a large family or someone special who is participating? We will tailor our work around the features of your special event, so that the important people and moments will not be forgotten.
Our studio is located in Bridgewater, NJ.
Lifestyle Portraits
Getting to know your child is why we include a lifestyle portrait session in each of our Mitzvah collections. These sessions are very creative, and we custom design the experience around your child and their interests. This not only helps get them comfortable in front of the camera, but more importantly provides you with fabulous images to use for a sign-in board (very popular), customized cards, decorations or a custom photo Guest Book.
Family Formals
All of our Mitzvah collections include a formal family photo session at the temple prior to the day of the Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Since photographs cannot be taken during the ceremony, we work with you during this session to make the photographs look as relaxed, natural and genuine. Photographs will include your child holding the Torah, reading from the Torah (with Rabbi, Cantor & Family) as well as numerous detail and creative shots. We will also take this opportunity to capture some family photos now, so that you can better enjoy the important day with your friends and family.
Are you having the ceremony outside of the synagogue? We have had the honor and opportunity of photographing several ceremonies from start to finish, and you will be very pleased with our attention to emotion & details.
The Party!
This is a day you and your family will want to remember, and it all goes by in a flash! We arrive well ahead of you and your guests to photograph the details of your venue and decor, and from the moment your child arrives at his/her reception we are capturing the moments for you to cherish in the years to come. Our dedication to the important & candid moments of the day is why we include coverage by two photographers for all of our events.
Working as a team gives us a chance to capture more than one perspective. You will see the advantages in your images…while you were getting your treasured family shots with Eric, Kerry will be capturing your friends and family coming together during cocktail hour. And we all know that the real action is where your child and his or her friends are…but we won’t miss out on all the adults either!
We are here to be partners with you, and we’re there to help out with a smile, quick joke or to corral some kids for a shot. We don’t want to be just another vendor at your reception; we want to be an important part of the day’s success!
After the Party’s Over
We don’t just shoot your event, hand you a disc of images and leave you. We will be there to guide you through your image selection, album design and gift creation. We’ll help you chose an image for custom thank you cards, or chose a series of shots to create personalized prints for friends and family as a unique gift. These are very special ways to say thank you to all the support and help your friends and family give.
A week after the event we will send you a “sneak peak” of images you can share online with family and friends. All of your images will be available for viewing four weeks after the event in your online, password protected image gallery. You will also receive a hard cover proof book with all of the online images to help you chose for your album.
All of our albums are custom designed by us…for you! We let your images & your style guide the design of each album. When you come to the studio for your ordering session, you will see incredible options for cover materials. Our albums come in several different sizes and options such as an image cut-out or photo wrap, a classic leather or a combination of elements!
One of the things that makes Kaz Arts so unique is our passion and commitment to Fine Art printing. We have invested in large format printers to create beautiful prints on a variety of paper surfaces. Chose from watercolor paper, paper made from sustainable resources, Fine Art and many more. All of our prints are finished with a protective coating and are archival for 200+ years, which means that your images will literally last a lifetime (and longer)! The attention to detail that we give to each of our prints brings them to life on the paper, elevating your images to works of art to be displayed and loved.
