FAQs

What are the advantages of hiring a professional photographer?
No weekend warrior, Eric is one of the lucky few whose amazing talent has carried his passion for photography into a successful business.  He has spent years perfecting his art through workshops (both locally and abroad), photographic conferences and discussions with other noted professionals.

Will you be photographing my event?
Yes, Eric and Kerry are the photographers.

Is Kaz Arts Photography insured?
We are properly insured to shoot in any venue.

Will I have one photographer or two?
Two, unless otherwise arranged.  Eric and Kerry cover all the events together, ensuring that all of your important moments are captured.

Do you offer an engagement session?
Yes, and we strongly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity.  This session allows for fun & relaxed moments as well becoming comfortable in front of the camera so everything looks natural on your most important of days. Additionally, these images can be used for a ‘Wish Book’ which guests may sign at your reception.

Do you have collections available, and how can I find out about the prices?
We offer three collections for our wedding and bar & bat mitzvah photography, all of which include a handcrafted custom album. To find out more about our unique collections & pricing please call or email to set up a consultation

We are only having a small ceremony, are there other options besides your packages?
We are always happy to customize our services to match your event.  Please contact us to schedule a consultation.

How much time will you spend at my wedding?
Our traditional day is 8 hours of shooting, but we don’t take off after the cake cutting…the party is just getting started!  Don’t worry we’ll go over the details of your day with you in advance in order to make sure we know where we need to be at all times.

What about other people taking pictures?
Not a problem. We only ask that we are the main focus during all group shots.  This ensures everyone is looking into the camera in your photos, and not in several different directions.  A popular option Kaz Arts offers is a set of cards for each table setting letting your guests know you will be providing your final photographs to them.  The cards are custom designed and printed with the website and password for your gallery.  This way your guests can enjoy your event, and order prints of the ceremony, reception and family or friends.  You can also include these cards in your Thank You notes after the wedding.  This is especially precious for friends and family who could not attend your event.

Do you take posed pictures, or are all your pictures candid?
We take a mix of both.  Most of our photographs are a photojournalistic style, but we know you will also want to have pictures with friends and family to mark your big day.  Kerry will help you with a list ahead of the event, and during your event she will make sure that the shots you requested are set up.  Kerry will coordinate with your family, friends, DJ and wedding planner so you won’t have to worry about any of it; you can just relax and enjoy your day.

If we want formal/posed shots, do we take them before or after the ceremony?
This is entirely up to you.  More and more of our couples are choosing to do their shots before the ceremony so they can better enjoy their reception. We will be ready to take your “first moment” shots, and this can be a great way for you, your family and bridal party to get all your shots before the wedding starts.  Want to wait to see each other until the ceremony?  Not a problem, we will be happy to review your wedding day beforehand, and help you decide on the best schedule.

Who processes your images and does the printing?
We digitally process all of our images in house; we do not use an outside company.  We also do our own enlargements on our 2 professional printers, so that we personally ensure they are up to our high standards every time.

How long will it take to receive my photographs?
Your proof book and online image hosting will both be available 4 weeks after your event.  We will send you a small selection of images for sharing on the web a week after your event.

How do we create an album?
An album creation session is automatically included when you book one of our collections.  After receiving your proof book, we will schedule a time for you to come in and meet with us.  Together we will go over the album options, as well as your favorite images.

This is also the time when you may wish to order some enlargements for yourself or as gifts.  We have several unique options which never fail to delight your family and friends.  The gift of photographs can be an elegant, touching and treasured way to say thank you to your special people.

Will I get a CD with my wedding photos?
Kaz Arts provides a DVD with high resolution files for personal use & archiving.

Do you retouch?
We want to make sure that everyone looks their absolute best in your images.  We will retouch the images to take out any distracting objects and fine tune the images so they appear striking and dynamic.  We also love to give an artistic flair to a select number of images so that they truly stand out as fine art pieces.

How do we arrange for a consultation with you, and to view your work in person?
We love to meet all potential clients!  You can come visit us in Bridgewater (studio currently under construction), or we can arrange to meet you.  We are in Philadelphia, PA at least once a month for business and travel to Connecticut and Massachusetts several times a year so we may be right near you.  We have daytime, evening and weekend times depending on our shooting schedule.  Feel free to call (973-879-9885) or email us (info@kazarts.com) to set up a meeting.
